Remove drive plate.

Unscrew screw/bolts (1).

Heat crankcase cover (2).

Remove crankcase cover (2).

Clean

Remove residue of seal from sealing surfaces on crankcase (4) and oil pan (5).

Install

Install new crankcase cover (2) with radial shaft sealing ring (3) and tighten screws (1).

The geometry and condition have changed as compared to the crankcase cover (2) with radial shaft sealing ring (3) installed at the factory. If a steel crankcase cover (2) was installed previously, new screws with a shank length of 20 mm must be used.

Install drive plate.

Only install lower engine compartment paneling after leak test.

Check and correct engine oil level.
