Remove/install

Remove oil dipstick tube (6).

 Installation: Only install upper engine cover after the leak test.

Remove rail.

Remove all fuel injectors of the left cylinder bank.

Disconnect engine wiring harness in area of cylinder head cover and expose.

Loosen the bracket (4) of the engine wiring harness.

 Note the assembly position of bracket (4).

Remove bracket (1).

Remove the fuel lines (3) with the brackets and seal all openings with suitable stop plugs.

Remove all screws (5) in stages in reverse order of tightening procedure for cylinder head cover.

Clean sealing surface on the cylinder head cover.

If the cylinder head cover is not being replaced.

Install in the reverse order.



Check

Check engine oil level.


The engine oil level must not lie above the maximum marking.
Otherwise engine damage may occur.

If there is a problem,


