Remove

Switch off ignition and store transmitter key outside of transmitter range (at least 2 m).

Remove the front engine compartment paneling.

Turn the engine at the center bolt (2) of the vibration damper (1) in the direction of engine rotation (direction of arrow A).


Turn the engine only in the direction of engine rotation (direction of arrow A).
If you do not do this, the timing chain in the engine might jump across, resulting in engine damage.

Install

Install the front engine compartment paneling.
