1 Install switch forward, backward (EPS) (S82) into switch panel (1) and plug in wiring harness connector.

2 Install EQR indicator lamp (2) into switch panel (1) and plug in wiring harness connector.

 Where possible, install EQR indicator lamp (2) in vicinity of switch forward, backward (EPS) (S82).

Because the lower symbol (arrow) does not have any function, it can be painted over with a black touch-up paint pen.

3 Connect line (gr/gn) for switch illumination with twin wire connector to suitable position (circuit 58).

4 Connect ground line (br/ws) with twin wire connector to suitable position (circuit 31).

5 Route wiring harness at subharness under the center console and to the rear.

 Ensure correct installation of lines (risk of crushing and chafing). Use cable ties.

6 Route line (ws/gn) and line (sw/ws) up to the GS control unit (EPS) (A16).

 Ensure correct installation of lines (risk of crushing and chafing). Use cable ties.

7 Replace GS (EPS) control unit (A16).

 Use EQR-compatible GS control unit (EPS) (A16). Do not plug-on the connectors yet.

8 Clip line (sw/ws) into pin 6 on the GS control unit (EPS) connector, 15-pin (A16x3).

 Depending on the version, a twin wire connector may be possible.

9 Clip line (ws/gn) into pin 4 on the GS control unit (EPS) connector, 12-pin (A16x4).

 Depending on the version, a twin wire connector may be possible.

10 Attach all connectors to the GS control unit (EPS) (A16).

11 Route wiring harness for relay (3) up to base module (electrical center) (A7).

 Ensure correct installation of lines (risk of crushing and chafing). Use cable ties.

12 Install relay socket into free slot and plug-in relay (3).

13 Connect ground line (br/ws) for relay (3) to base module (ground) connector, 15-pin (A7x8).
