The version of the control module has to be reprogrammed in the following cases:
after replacing the control module or installing a control module from another vehicle as a check
after replacing the throttle valve positioning motor
after disconnecting and reconnecting the battery
after unplugging the control module connector "1" at the vehicle side
Programming is performed with the HHT. After menu point 5 "ECU programming" has been selected, the sequence as well as the momentary programming status is displayed in the HHT. Each time after reprogramming the control module, it is necessary to check whether the vehicle version has been correctly detected and stored in the control module. This is done by checking the text highlighted in black.

If the vehicle version is not detected by the control module, the HHT displays the following text when communication is established with the control module:
Transmission version not recognized, gear cannot be displayed
Remedy:
Start engine and v-signal > 10 km/h
It is necessary to ensure that programming has been properly carried out.
