		 For authorized MercedesBenz service partners, only the entry in the "Extended VEGA Application" (EVA) system, in the "Current" tab, is decisive. An additional test of the affected vehicles in the workshop information system (WIS) or vehicle list is thereby not necessary.
	Remove
2	Remove engine cover (1).

	Check
3	Check right front brake line (2) from ESP® hydraulic unit to underbody for collision in area of upper side of engine (arrow).	 Visual inspection with flashlight.
		If no collision is present.
		
		Vehicle is not affected by the measure.
		 Continue with operation step 7.
	Positioning
4	Press right front brake line (2) from ESP® hydraulic unit to underbody in area of upper side of engine (arrow) slightly away from engine.	 When positioning the right front brake line (2), ensure sufficient distance from other component parts. The right front brake line (2) must not be subjected to any kinking or line narrowing. Carefully bend right front brake line (2) so that a sufficient distance from the upper side of the engine (arrow) is guaranteed. Otherwise, damage and malfunctions can occur.
	Check
5	Check surface of right front brake line (2) for scratches or paint damage in area of upper side of engine (arrow).	 Brake lines that present with surface damage, but that do not have any pits or structural damage to the base material, must be repaired with zinc dust paint.
		 Brake lines that present with damage (pits or structural damage to the base material) may not be repaired.
		If there are only scratches or paint damage to the brake line coating (without pits or loss of base material):
		
		Correct paint damage with zinc dust paint.
		 In this case, continue with operation step 6.

		If there is damage with pits or loss of base material:
		
		Create XENTRY TIPS case and send to headquarters.
		 Further repair work may only be carried out following approval from headquarters.
		 In the XENTRY TIPS case, a picture of the visibly damaged area of the front right brake line (2) must be attached to the TIPS case together with the details of a workshop contact person (including telephone number).
	Install
6	Attach a new protective sleeve (3) onto front right brake line (2) in area of upper side of engine (arrow) as shown.
7	Install engine cover (1).
