Service Information: Installation of an AdBlue pre-filter between the AdBlue tank and the AdBlue pump
This prefilter should be installed to avoid the following failures:
AdBlue pump (3) cannot inject;
AdBlue pump (3) has high rotational speed;
Contamination and premature saturation of the AdBlue pump filter;
The installation of this pre-filter is available optionally to those clients who want additional system protection, whenever the AdBlue system cannot be kept free of impurities, whether while refilling or servicing.
The installation of the prefilter (part and labor) will not be paid as warranty, but will not imply the loss of warranty of the other parts of the aftertreatment system.
The AdBlue pre-filter must be installed between the AdBlue tank (1) and the AdBlue pump (3) on the suction line, to protect the system from impurities.
Minor impurities in the AdBlue tank (1) result from contamination while opening the AdBlue tank cap during the refilling or maintenance in the after-treatment system.
Prefilter replacement is recommended every 12 months after installation.
The filters are supplied by Alliance and the order number is A 999 142 0189 0097.
