For given reasons, always check the exhaust pipe covering during the next workshop visit and correct if necessary.
The cost of the work must be submitted with a warranty/goodwill claim.
The following instructions must be followed when performing assembly operation on the exhaust system. Only if these assembly instructions are followed will it be possible to prevent
a) a collision between the exhaust tailpipe or the supporting strut and the cab rear wall
b) leaks in the exhaust system caused by loose clamp connections

If this clamp is not exactly positioned, the clamping effect will be inadequate. |
Exact installation in accordance with these assembly instructions is guaranteed as of VIN 405 100 1W 199 865 in series production.
The adjustment angle (A) of the exhaust pipe must be set depending on the width of the vehicle:
Vehicle width 2,150 mm Angle A approx. 60°
Vehicle width more than 2,150 mm Angle A approx. 30°
