 Danger !

Risk of explosion caused by fuel igniting, risk of poisoning caused by inhaling and swallowing fuel as well as risk of injury to eyes and skin caused by contactwith fuel.

No fires, sparks, open flames or smoking. Pour fuels into suitable and appropriately marked containers only.
Wear protective clothing when handling fuel.

Remove/install

Remove engine cover

Open clamps (2)

 Installation:
Replace clamps (2).
Leaks can occur otherwise.

Remove fuel hoses (3) from fuel filter (1) and seal connections using stop plugs

 Record plug

Disconnect electrical connection (4) for fuel filter heater with a condensation sensor (7)

Remove screw/bolt (6)

Then replacing the fuel filter (1).

Swivel fuel filter heater with condensation sensor (7) and remove upwards

Then replacing the fuel filter (1).

 Installation: Replace sealing ring.

Open clips (5) and remove fuel filter (1) upwards

 Installation:
The installation marking (arrow) must be in the position shown.
Otherwise an unstressed installation of the fuel hoses (3) will not be achieved.

Install in the reverse order

 Danger !

Risk of accident from vehicle starting off by itself when engine running. Risk of injury (bruises and burns) resulting from working on the engine while it is being started or when it is running.

Secure vehicle to prevent it from starting off by itself. Wear closed and snug-fitting work clothes. Do not touch hot or rotating parts.

Perform engine test run and check engine in the area around fuel filter (1) for leaktightness
