Align vehicle between vehicle lift columns and position the four support plates at the vehicle lift support points specified by the vehicle manufacturer.

Remove/install

Remove front axle carrier.

Place front axle carrier onto workbench.

A helper is required.

Remove steering gear (1) from front axle carrier.

To do so, remove bolts of nuts (2).

Screw, steering gear to front axle carrier/integral carrier

Install in the reverse order.

Teach-in steering gear (1) using vehicle diagnosis system.

If the steering gear (1) was replaced.

Connect/disconnect diagnostic unit
