1 Place dial indicator holder (1) and dial indicator (2) against axle housing.
2 Spin ring gear (3) several times.
3 Place dial indicator tip of dial indicator (2) with preload on ring gear (3) and adjust gear backlash by screwing threaded rings (4) in or out using square drift.
Measure the gear backlash at three points on the ring gear (3).
