1 | Remove viscous fan clutch and lay in fan shroud | ||
Do not remove fan cowl and viscous fan clutch. | |||
2 | Remove screw/bolts (2) | ||
3 | Push protective sleeve (5) onto thread of the hub (4) | Assembly tool | |
4 | Pull belt pulley (3) with poly-V belt (1) over the protective sleeve (5) and remove from hub (4) | Assembly tool | |
5 | Remove protective sleeve (5) | Assembly tool | |
| Check | ||
6 | Check poly-V belt (1) for damage and wear; replace if necessary | ||
| Install | ||
7 | Attach belt pulley (3) with screw/bolt (2) to the hub (4) | Bolt, belt pulley to hub/bearing housing | |
8 | Lay poly-V belt (1) on belt pulley (3) and screw retaining disk (6) counterclockwise onto thread of the hub (4) | Assembly tool | |
9 | Attach poly-V belt (1) with two retaining clips (8) on, seen in direction of travel, the left side of the vibration damper (7) | Assembly tool | |
10 | Turn vibration damper (7) clockwise and pull on poly-V belt (1) fully | If the retaining clips (8) reach the position (arrow), they must be taken off. | |

11 | Unscrew retaining disk (6) clockwise | Assembly tool | |
12 | Install viscous fan clutch | ||

13 | Perform an engine test run and check poly-V belts (1) for correct movement |
