1 Mount dial gae holder (6) onto cylinder head separating surface (1).
2 Mount dial gage (5) with a preload onto the cylinder head separating surface (1).
3 Set scale of dial gage (5) to "0".
4 Carry out measurement and read off value.
Move dial gage (5) together with dial gage holder (6) sufficiently so that the tracer pin is positioned on the valve disk of an intake (2) or exhaust valve (3).
