Tighten parking brake and slightly loosen wheel nuts or wheel bolts.

Jack up front axle and remove wheels.

Note

Removal and installation of wheel hubs is described in the workshop manuals "Axles" or the repair instructions on microfilm Group 33 with all data and information necessary for this purpose.

Remove wheel hubs.

Remove grease from wheel hubs, clean wheel hubs and tapered roller bearings.

Check tapered roller bearings for condition and wear.

Thoroughly pack reusable or new tapered roller bearings with grease and fill wheel hubs with specified quantity of grease.

Place inner tapered roller bearings in wheel hubs and install new radial sealing rings.

Install wheel hubs.

Mount wheels, lower front axle and tighten wheel nuts or wheel bolts.
Observe tightening torque!
