Service information: Electric pump for bleeding air from fuel line (diesel)
This service information has the purpose to spread an equipment specially designed to bleed the air of the fuel line of Mercedes-Benz trucks and buses in a practical and safe way, when it is required.
The equipment operates with a voltage of 12V supplied by the vehicle's own battery. The kit is compounded by a carry-case containing an electric pump, installation cables, hoses and connections compatible with the fuel system of the Mercedes-Benz vehicles.
Other ways to bleed the air from fuel system that is not by means of actuating the starter, actuating the hand pump (supplied on vehicle ex-factory), or by means of the electric pump mentioned in this service information are prohibited.
Never loosen the injection pipings in order to bleed the air from the fuel system:
because re-tightened connections can present leakages and this may cause a fire.
