83-140 Removal, reinstallation of air inlet cover

Seals (520, 521) | pull off, fit (figure 1). |
Trim mouldings (515, 516) | unclip, remove. |
Clips (557) | pull out, slide in (figure 3) |
Screws (546) | remove water drains (513). |
Cover (560) | disconnect, connect (figure 5). |
Screws (549) | loosen, tighten (figure 6). |
Partition panel (550) | remove. |

1 Pull off seals (520, 521). Run wiper to stop in center of windshield.
2 Unclip trim mouldings (515, 516) with
plastic wedge, pull to the outside below the rubber lip on the wiper and remove.
Installation instructions
Ensure correct seating of all rubber lips on the A-pillars and on the wiper linkage.

3 Pull out clips (557).

4 Remove screws (546). Remove water drains (513) left and right.
Installation instructions
Ensure proper assembly of water drains and drain pipes.

5 Allow wiper to move into parking position and remove cover (560).

6 Remove screws (549) and take out partition panel (550) in the center.
7 Remove screws (546) and cover on air inlet.

Installation instructions
Remove grid. Introduce drain rubbers (570) in the water duct (565) through the leaf grid by means of a screwdriver.
Assemble in reverse order.

1 Pull off gaskets (520, 521). Allow wiper to move to middle of windshield.
2 Unclip gasket (560) with plastic wedge, pull out below rubber lip on wiper and remove.
Installation note
Ensure that all rubber lips are properly seated on the A-pillars and on the windshield wiper linkage.

3 Pull out clips (557).

4 Unscrew screws (546). Remove water drains (513) on left and right.
Installation note
Ensure that water drains and drain tubes are correctly assembled.

5 Unscrew screws (549) and remove center divider (550).
6 Unscrew screws (546) and remove cover on air inlet.
Reinstall in opposite order.
Ensure that water drains 565 are properly seated.
