Data |
Permissible deviation of vertical parallelism between left and right frame side members in degrees 0° 20' 1) |
1) Deviation corresponds to a vertical difference of approx. 5 mm.

Note
The additional axle base and frame measurement procedure is intended to follow normal wheel adjustment work on accident vehicles or on vehicles where an accident is suspected.
This procedure is based on the wheelbase measurements.
Assessment criteria are the differences between left and right or the effective distance measurement.
The vertical parallelism and frame alignment can then be checked in the case of minor frame damage, and when the axle base measurements are insufficient for a clear diagnosis, i.e. if it cannot be decided whether repairs on the Celette frame straightening bench are necessary or not.
Checking
1 Attach measuring bridge (013a) with inserted spirit level (09) in the center of the vehicle at measurement point "HP2" using the reference bores "k2" and measure the transverse position. Note that the spirit level only indicates to one side of 0°. Because of this, load the left side of the vehicle (viewed in the direction of travel) until the spirit level is within the measuring range between 0° 30' and 1°.
