29.3-040 Removal and installation of master cylinder
Removal and installation
1 Open maintenance flap.
2 Extract hydraulic fluid from the reservoir.
3 Remove left-hand foot mat.
4 Remove trim above clutch pedal.
5 Detach pipe with elbow on master cylinder.
6 Unscrew hydraulic pipe (1) on master cylinder (2).
7 Remove retaining washer (4) and washer (5).
Installation note
Install new retaining washer (4).
8 Dismantle piston rod on clutch pedal.
Installation note
Securely tighten hexagon bolts (3), 10 Nm.
9 Unscrew hexagon bolts (3).
10 Remove master cylinder (2).
11 Install in reverse sequence.
12 Adjust lost motion of hydraulic clutch control
(29.3-010).
13 Bleed hydraulic clutch control (29.3-030).
