Location
The SCR AdBlue® metering valve is installed in the AdBlue® metering device (8). The AdBlue® metering device (8) is located at the rear right on the cylinder head.
Task

The SCR AdBlue® metering valve is a 2/2-way valve. Inside the valve, the valve body is designed as a solenoid armature.
Function
The SCR AdBlue® metering valve is actuated by the motor control module (MR) (A6).
AdBlue® is present at the closed valve body inside the SCR AdBlue® metering valve at the operating pressure generated by the SCR AdBlue® pump (M25) . The force of a push spring keeps this valve between the AdBlue® inlet (1) and the AdBlue® outlet (2) closed.
In the case of the actuation of the SCR AdBlue® metering valve, the valve body inside the SCR AdBlue® metering valve moves and opens the opening to the AdBlue® outlet (2) so that AdBlue® can flow through.
