Operation (vehicles 384/ 386/ 388/ 682):
The compressed air actuating the group valves (BV) comes from the DE and DS groups.
Service brake valve (13.02)
The valve (13.02) utilizes the air stored in the compressed air reservoirs (5.01), braking the vehicle when the driver actuates the service brake pedal valve. This guarantees that the vehicle has a braking gradual and proportional to the force applied on the brake pedal.
At the outlet (21) of the valve (13.02) the compressed air goes to the distribution valve (18.01) and to the rear axle cylinder (22.01).
At the outlet (22) of the valve (13.02) the compressed air goes to the front axle cylinder (20.02) and to the two way valve (bidirectional) (28.01).
Parking brake manual valve (14.01)
The air coming from the four circuit protection valve (4.03, connection 23) passes through the check valve (8.02), that releases the air passage but does not permit that it returns, guaranteeing that the circuit is always charged.
The parking brake manual valve (14.01) when actuated permits the progressive application or release of the parking brake. This sends a control pressure to the distribution valve (18.01) and to the relay valve (16.01).
The relay valve (16.01) sends the air to a pressure switch (10.01) and also acts quickly in the charging and draining the accumulator spring chambers, shortening the actuation time of the cylinder (22.01) of the axle.
Manual valve of the semitrailer brake (15.01)
After actuated, the valve (15.01) brakes only the semitrailer guaranteeing a progressive brake application, independent of the actuation of the pedal valve of the tractor vehicle (13.02).
The air supplying the semitrailer's manual valve (15.01) comes from the four circuit protection valve (4.03, connection 23). When actuated, the semitrailer manual brake valve (15.01) sends the compressed air to a bidirectional valve (28.01) and to a pressure switch (10.02).
Operation (vehicles 693.154/196):
The compressed air actuating the group valves (BV) comes from the DE and DS groups.
Service brake valve (13.02)
The service brake valve (13.02) utilizes the air stored in the compressed air reservoirs (5.01), braking the vehicle when the driver actuates the service brake pedal valve. This guarantees that the vehicle has a braking gradual and proportional to the force applied on the brake pedal.
The outlet (21) of the valve (13.02) sends control pressure to the distribution valve (18.05, connection 41) and to the braking force regulating valve in proportion to the load (ALB) (26.07, connection 4) that releases the adequate pressure to the ABS solenoid valves (45.01) of the rear axle and from this to the cylinder (22.01).
In the outlet (22) of the valve (13.02) the compressed air goes to the ABS solenoid valves (45.01) and from this to the cylinders (20.02) of the front axle and sends control signal to the distribution valve (18.05).
Parking brake manual valve (14.02)
The air coming from the four circuit protection valve (4.03, connection 25) supplies the parking brake manual valve (14.02) that when actuated permits the progressive application or release of the parking brake. This sends a control pressure to the relay valve (16.01) and to the semitrailer manual brake valve (15.01) that releases control signal to the valve (18.05).
The relay valve (16.01) acts quickly in the charging and draining of the accumulator spring chambers, shortening the actuation time of the cylinder (22.01) of the axle.
Manual valve of the semitrailer brake (15.01)
After actuated, the valve (15.01) brakes only the semitrailer guaranteeing a progressive brake application is independent of the actuation of the pedal valve of the tractor vehicle (13.02).
This operates with the release of the air that supplies the parking brake manual valve (14.02) sending the control signal to the distribution valve (18.05 connection 43).
Noise damper (39.02)
This is connected to the exhaust (discharge) connections (3) and has the purpose of damping the noises caused in the actuation of the service brake valves (13.02), of the parking brake (14.01) and of the semitrailer brake (15.01).
Operation (vehicles 696.080/.090):
The compressed air actuating the group valves (BV) comes from the DE and DS groups.
Service brake valve (13.02)
The service brake valve (13.02) utilizes the air stored in the compressed air reservoirs (5.01), braking the vehicle when the driver actuates the service brake pedal valve. This guarantees that the vehicle has a braking gradual and proportional to the force applied on the brake pedal.
At the outlet (21) of the valve (13.02) the compressed air goes to the distribution valve (18.05, connection 41) through the two way valve (bidirectional) (28.01) and to the rear axle cylinder (22.01).
At the outlet (22) of the valve (13.02) the compressed air goes to the front axle cylinder (20.02) and sends control signal to the distribution valve (18.05).
Parking brake manual valve (14.02)
The air coming from the four circuit protection valve (4.03, connection 25) supplies the parking brake manual valve (14.02) that when actuated permits the progressive application or release of the parking brake. This sends a control pressure to the distribution valve (18.05) and to the relay valve (16.01).
The relay valve (16.01) acts quickly in the charging and draining of the accumulator spring chambers, shortening the actuation time of the cylinder (22.01) of the axle.
Manual valve of the semitrailer brake (15.01)
After actuated, the valve (15.01) brakes only the semitrailer guaranteeing a progressive brake application it is independent of the actuation of the pedal valve of the tractor vehicle (13.02).
The air supplying the semitrailer's manual valve (15.01) comes from the four circuit protection valve (4.03, connection 23). When actuated, the semitrailer manual brake valve (15.01) sends the compressed air to a bidirectional valve (28.01) and to a pressure switch (10.02).
Operation (vehicles 696.365/.369):
