Warning | Risk of accident from vehicle starting off by itself when engine running. Risk of injury (bruises and burns) resulting from working on the engine while it is being started or when it is running. | Secure vehicle to prevent it from starting off by itself. Wear closed and snug-fitting work clothes. Do not touch hot or rotating parts.
Warning | Risk of burn injuries and scalding when working at AdBlue lines and the components attached to them. Risk of injury to skin and eyes when handling AdBlue. Risk of poisoning caused by swallowing AdBlue | Pour AdBlue into suitable containers only. Wait until the pressure is released before starting any work on the exhaust aftertreatment system.

1 | Switch off ignition. | ||
2 | Connect diagnostic system. | See information from body manufacturer.
3 | Retrofit test connection (4) on compressed air inlet of the metering device (1). | Only if no test connection (4) is installed.
The test connection (4) can remain installed.
4 | Remove SCR compressed-air pressure sensor (7).
5 | Pour water into the bore (6). | Pour in water until it overflows from the bore (6).
6 | Install SCR compressed-air pressure sensor (7).
7 | Connect flushing hose (3) to the test connection (4). | Use the measuring hose as a flushing hose (3).
Measuring hose | |||
8 | Remove valve from the flushing hose (3).
9 | Pour water into the flushing hose (3) until a water column (A) of 4 cm is achieved. | During this process, hold the flushing hose (3) at a height so that the water flows in the direction of the test connection (4).
10 | Screw valve into the flushing hose (3).
11 | Connect compressed-air gun (2) to the flushing hose (3).
12 | Flush metering device (1).
Pressurize the flushing hose (3) with compressed air until the water is completely removed.
13 | Start engine. | See information from body manufacturer.
14 | Check compressed air pressure on the metering device (1) using the vehicle diagnosis system and switch off engine. | Inquiry of "actual value 69".
If the value still lies outside the specified tolerance range in the vehicle diagnosis system after repeating,
| |||
replace diffuser and sieve on the compressed air inlet of the metering device (1).
15 | Remove flushing hose (3). | The test connection (4) can remain installed.
16 | Remove vehicle diagnosis system. |
