Removal Tool

Remove

Keep the Pitman arm (1) sustained by the steering bar to prevent the movement of steering sector axle during removal.

1 Loosen the nut (2) of Pitman arm (1), but do not remove it.

Danger: If the nut is removed in this operation, the sudden release of the Pitman arm together with the removal tool may cause severe injuries.

2 Loosen the Pitman arm (1) with the removal tool (3). The Pitman arm is suddenly released.

3 Remove the nut (2) and Pitman arm (1).

Install

4 Install the Pitman arm (1) in the steering gear housing (2) with a new self-locking nut .

The marks (arrows) in the Pitman arm (1) an in steering sector axle must match.
