1 | Choke the vehicle's wheels | In the case of no compressed air, the combined cylinder parking brake can be released mechanically.
The vehicle wheels are to be chocked whenever any brake system repair service occurs.
2 | Insert the relief bolt (1) in the rear cavity of the combined cylinder (4) and turn 90° to the right to enable its coupling with the inner piston | Remove the plastic plug from the combined cylinder rear orifice.
3 | Install the washer (3), the nut (2) and, with the help of a wrench, turn the nut in the clockwise direction until the parking brake is released | During this process the combined cylinder's inner spring will compress, and so a little effort will be necessary to turn the nut.
| Assemble | ||
4 | Pressurize the pneumatic system and release the parking brake | After the completion of the pneumatic system repair, put the combined cylinder in operation conditions.
5 | Turn the nut in he counter-clockwise direction until the relief bolt is free and can be removed by turning it 90° to the left | Put again the protective plastic plug of the combined cylinder's rear orifice.
Place again the relief bolt, the washer and nut in the combined cylinder's lateral support and tighten the nut up to the prescribed torque.
