The type of hydraulic cylinder does not interfere with the bleeding, since they are all fitted with the same bleeders. | |||
1 | Open the vehicle's front cover | ||
2 | Secure the ALB regulator rod (5) at full load | ||
Danger | Risk of poisoning by swallowing brake fluid. Risk of injuries by contact of the skin and eyes with brake fluid | Drain and store brake fluid only in the original packing. Wear protective clothes and safety goggles. | |
3 | Remove the cap (2) and connect the bleeding equipment to the reservoir's filler neck (1) | The bleeding of the system carried out with the brake pedal, besides time consuming and not presenting satisfactory practical results, it will damage the master cylinder package. | |
Put the bleeding equipment in operation charged with the respective pressure. | |||

4 | Remove the caps of the cylinders to be bled and install the hose so the fluid is drained into an appropriate container | Collect the fluid in an appropriate container and discard it in an environmentally friendly way. | |
5 | Apply pressure in the system, open the bleeder (7, 8 or 9) of the cylinder to be bled at least 45º and let the fluid drain until there are no more air bubbles in the bleeding tube | Initially the bleeding has to be carried out on the rear wheel hydraulic cylinder (9) and finished on the front wheels (8). | |
Check making sure the minimum level in the reservoir (1) is not reached: | |||
In this case, replenish the reservoir to the maximum level with specified brake fluid. | |||
6 | Proceed the bleeding of the clutch actuation system (10) | For vehicles 688.101/102/103/106/109 | |
7 | Close the bleeders, remove the hose and the container and install the caps | ||
8 | Depressurize and remove the bleeding equipment | Check the reservoir (1) and replenish it to the maximum level. | |
9 | Release the ALB regulator rod (5) | ||
10 | Close the vehicle's front cover | ||
