Replace thrust ring

Make an Ø 8 mm bore (3) at the side of the race (2) of the seal.

Split the race of the seal (2) by using a chisel.


Take care to not hit on the axle surface (1).
The axle can be damaged (1).


Remove

Install

Heat to approximately 80 °C the new race of the seal (2)

Install the race of the seal (2) on the axle (1).

The race of the seal (2) must be perfectly in contact with the lathed face.

The race of the seal (2) must be removed and replaced by a new one whenever its surface presents damages, wear or furrows.
