Install the inner nut (4) until it touches the bearing while simultaneously turning the wheel hub (5).

Hit some times at the wheel hub (5) with a bronze hammer.

Tighten the inner nut (4) to the specified tightening torque at the first stage, and unscrew the specified angle (second stage) using the respective claw wrench. Rear axles 742.824/825, 743.457, 772.100/110/115 Rear axle 746.96

Only in rear axles 742.824/825 Turn the wheel hub (5) from 3 to 4 complete turns.

Tighten the inner nut (4) to the tightening torque at the third stage. Rear Axles 742.824/825

Only in rear axles 742.824/825 Turn the wheel hub (5) in 360°, and unscrew the inner nut (4) in the specified angle (fourth stage). Rear Axles 742.824/825

Install the washer (3), a new lock plate (2), the outer nut (1), and tighten to the specified tightening torque using the respective claw wrench. Rear axle 746.96 Rear axles 742.824/825, 743.457, 772.100/110/115
Confirm the end play

Install the dial indicator holder and the dial indicator on the wheel hub (5).

Check the end play moving the wheel hub (5) in and out. .
If the end play is out of specified value:
Correct the end play.

Lock the outer nut (1) with the lock plate (2).
Fold two tabs of the lock plate (2), opposite 180° to one another, over the side faces of the outer nut (1).
