Check the diameter (B) of the valve guide (1)

If the side with the largest diameter "+" of the gauge enters the guide, measure the diameter at the center of the length thereof (wear limit).



Replace the valve guide if the recommended values are not obtained.



Remove

Remove the valve guide (1) with the assembly pin (4), from the combustion chamber side to the opposite side

Install

Check valve guide housing, diameter (A). If necessary, repair it with the conventional adjustable reamer (5)

 Turn the reamer only clockwise.
Observe the final diameter, corresponding to the valve guide to be utilized.

Adjustable reamer, diameter from 11.9 to 13.5 mm

Install new valve guide (1) in the cylinder head (2) with the drift and limiting bushing (6), from the cylinder head top side

 Observe the guide outside diameter, corresponding to the housing.
Oil the guide with engine oil.

Enlarge the valve guide (1) up to a 7.95mm diameter, using an adjustable conventional reamer (7)

 Turn the reamer only clockwise.

Adjustable reamer, diameter from 7.6 to 8.5 mm

Enlarge the valve guide (1) up to diameter (B), finishing, with the reamer (8)

 Turn the reamer only clockwise.
