| Check the connecting rod bearing shells, and the journal through a visual test for wear and damage
| In the event of damage or wear, do not carry out other steps but remove engine and repair it.

| Check the crankshaft bearing shells, the main bearing and the diameter of the crankshaft bearing journal visually for wear and damages

| To do so remove individually, one after the other, the main bearing caps and if necessary install again:

| In the event of damage or wear, do not carry out other steps but remove engine and repair it.
