Instruments cluster self-diagnosis
Every time that the ignition key is turned to the ON position, the instruments cluster performs a self-diagnosis function, which checks its components conditions, as described below
Hazard warning pilot lamps
The hazard warning pilot lamps, when available in the vehicle, must act as follows:
1 - Semi-towing ABS connector pilot lamp: remain lit when the ABS connector is connected.
3 - ABS pilot lamp : must go off when the vehicle shifting is started, after reaching about 7 km/h. If it remains lit during the shifting, it will be an indication of the ABS system failure.
7 - Battery charge pilot lamp: it must go off as soon as the engine is running or, goes on in the case of failures in the power generation system or breakage of the alternator belt.
11 - Semi-towing ABS control pilot lamp: must go off when the vehicle shifting is started, after reaching about 7 km/h. If it remains lit during the shifting, it will be an indication of the semi-towing ABS system failure. If the semi-towing is not equipped with ABS system, this light will always remain off.
14 - Engine oil level pilot lamp: it must go off as soon as the engine is running or remains lit if the engine oil in the oil pan is low.
19 - Cylinders low air pressure pilot lamp: it goes on when the pneumatic pressure in the service or parking brake circuit is very low. Do not operate the vehicle while this lamps remain ON.
24 - PLD pilot lamp (Vehicles with electronic management): It must go on for some seconds when start the ignition key. If it remains lit, correct the failure in the electronic management system and clear the register in the electronic module memory.
Observe if the other functional and hazard warning pilot lamps through the actuation of their respective systems.
