Caution

Risk of poisoning from swallowing brake fluid. Risk of injury from skin and eye contact with brake fluid

Only pour brake fluid into suitable and appropriately marked containers. Wear protective clothing and eye protection when handling brake fluid.

1

Extract, by suction, the brake fluid from the reservoirs (1), leaving a rest of approximately 10 mm

Notes on repairs to brake system

AH42.00-B-0003-01A

Hydraulic brake system assisted by compressed air: empty the reservoirs (1) and renew the brake fluid. First in the rear axle brake circuit.

2

Remove the cap and connect the bleeding equipment to the opening of the reservoir (1)

Put the bleeding equipment in operation supplied with the respective pressure.

3

Fasten the rod of the ALB regulator (4) at full load

4

Remove the plug of the cylinder to be bled and install the hose

The hose is used to drain the fluid into an adequate container.

Start the process of replacement by the rear wheel hydraulic cylinder or the one that has the pipe of largest diameter.

5

Start the bleeding

Apply pressure in the system, open the hydraulic cylinder bleeder of the rear wheels (2), at least 45º, and let the brake fluid run out. Open the hydraulic cylinder bleeder of the rear wheels (2) and close it again until no more bubbles exist in the bleeding hose.

6

Renew the brake fluid of the clutch slave cylinder, through the bleeder, through the clutch receiver cylinder bleeder (3)

Open the clutch receiver cylinder bleeder (3) and close it again until no more air bubbles exist in the bleeding hose.

7

Release the ALB regulator rod (4)

8

De-pressurize and remove the bleeding equipment and the drain hose

Check the reservoir (1) and refill it to the "MAX" level marked on the container.
