| Mechanic parking brake disengagement, loosing combined brake cylinder relief screws, should be performed only if needed for repair execution or, if there is a compelling need for moving the vehicle in an emergency situation and failures which prevent regular brake disengagement. | Vehicle should not be placed in normal operation when parking brake is mechanically disengaged. | |
Danger! | Risk of accident due to unintentional vehicle movement when running the engine. Risk of injury due to crushing and burns caused by contact during start procedure or when engine is running | Make sure that the gearbox is on neutral position. Secure vehicle against spontaneous movement. Use closed and well fixed working clothes. Do not touch hot or moving parts. | |
1 | Run engine until brake air system working pressure is obtained. | ||
2 | Secure vehicle wheels and release parking brake. | ||
3 | Loose relief screw from working position (1) to disengagement brake position (2). | Relief screw should easily turn. | |
Do not use automatic electric screwdrivers for this operation. | |||
4 | After pneumatic system is repaired, put combined cylinder (1) in operational conditions. | | |
Pressuring cylinder through connection (12), relief screw could be turned manually. |
