Drain off

Turn wheels until the drain screws (4) of the planetary hub reduction drive are at the bottom.

 To do so, raise rear axle.

Clean area around filling screws (2, 3) and drain screws (1, 4).

Remove filling screw (2) and drain screw (1) on rear axle housing and completely drain transmission oil.

 Only drain transmission oil when warm.
Place a suitable receptacle underneath.

Remove filling screws (3) and drain screws (4) of the planetary hub reduction drive and drain transmission oil completely.

 Only drain transmission oil when warm.
Place suitable receptacle underneath.
Do not allow the transmission oil from the planetary hub reduction drive to run over the tires. Use drainage channels.

Screw drain screw (1) into rear axle housing.

Pour in

Pour in transmission oil until it reaches the lower edge of the rear axle housing filler opening.

Screw filling screw (2) into rear axle housing.

Turn wheels until the drain openings of the planetary hub reduction drive are at the top.

Attach filling reservoir to filler opening of planetary hub reduction drive; fill prespecified transmission oil quantity.

Remove filling reservoir; check oil level.

 The oil level must be at the bottom edge of the filler opening.

Coat thread of filling screw (3) with sealant.

Only on planetary hub reduction drives with sheet metal cover.

Screw in filling screw (3) and drain screw (4).

Repeat operation steps 9 to 12 on opposite planetary hub reduction drive.

Carry out oil change at rear axle through-drive housing.

Check adjusted oil quality in maintenance system and adjust the quality of the transmission oil filled in if necessary.
