Risk of injury of crushing and burning for contact during start procedure or with functioning engine | Shim vehicle against involuntary movement. Wear work clothes well closed and attached to the body. Do not touch hot or moving parts. | |
Danger! | Risk of injury by compression or arrest when opening and closing the engine hood | Keep people and objects out of the area while tilting the engine hood. | |
1 | Tilt the engine hood (1) | ||
2 | Disconnect the electric wiring harnesses (3) for headlights and position lights on both sides | Make sure the vehicle ignition is off. Remove plastic covers and locking devices from the connectors. | |
3 | Cut the plastic cable fasteners and move the wiring harnesses (3) out of the way | Install: Install new plastic cable fasteners. | |
4 | Support the engine hood (1) | Take sufficient care not to damage the engine hood. | |
5 | Remove the opening springs (4) from the engine hood (1) | | |

6 | Loosen and remove the screws (2) fastening the engine hood (1) to the cross member | Install: Install new self-locking nuts. | |

7 | Remove the engine hood (1) | Take sufficient care not to damage the engine hood. Install: The engine hood installation requires hood adjustment. | |
8 | Install in reverse order |
