Drain the oil from the rear axle

Oil change - Rear axle

Remove the parking brake shoes

Applies only to the rear axles 743.480.

Remove the screw (1) and pull the rear axle shaft (2)

Remove the screw (1) and pull the rear axle shaft (2)

Remove the drive shaft (3)

Adjust the center differential removal device

Remove the screw (7) and remove the central differential (6) from the axle housing (8)

Use a lever to remove the differential.

Install

Install the center differential (6) on the axle housing (8) and tighten the screws (7)

Install: Clean the sealing area between the center differential (6) and the axle housing (8), and apply a sealing compound.

Install the rear axle shaft (2) and tighten the screw (2)
