Check welding of hydraulic unit bracket (1) using 0.8 mm feeler gauge

If the feeler gauge can pass through



Proceed with operation step 2

If the feeler gauge cannot pass through



Do not perform any more operations

 

Remove/install

Remove lines (3) from master brake cylinder to hydraulic unit (2)

 Seal the lines (3) and holes on the hydraulic unit (2) and master brake cylinder using stop plugs.

 Threaded connection for brake lines at hydraulic unit

Unscrew lines (4) from hydraulic unit (2)

 Seal the lines (1) and holes on the hydraulic unit (2) using stop plugs.

 Threaded connection for brake lines at hydraulic unit

Release and disconnect connector (5) from ESP control unit (N30/4)

Undo nuts (6) of hydraulic unit (2)

 Screw/bolt/nut, hydraulic unit to bracket

Remove hydraulic module (2).

Remove bracket of hydraulic unit (1)

Install in the reverse order
