It is not possible to determine the software status of the anti-theft alarm system (ATA) from outside; for this reason it is necessary to first determine the status (version A (software status 000206A) or B (software status 000206B)).
Then program accordingly
Determine software status
1 Turn ignition key from "Zero" to "ON" four times within 13 s and then leave ignition key in "ON" position after turning 4 times.
When the LED (1, 2) outputs flashing pulses in the upper control panel control unit (N72/1) it is version B.
If the LED flashing pulses (1, 2) are not visible it is version A
2 Switch off ignition.
Perform programming
3.1 Pull fuse F28 by starting reset of anti-theft alarm system (ATA)
With version A.
Programming should be completed within 30 s. If programming is interrupted, the time exceeded, TS (AS) OFF switch (N72/1s18) or IMS (IRS) OFF switch (N72/1s19) are pressed in correctly, the old status of the ATA control unit remains active.Program again
4 Turn ignition key from "Zero" to "ON" three times within
10 s and then leave ignition key in position "ON" after turning 3 times.
5.1 Wait 3 s.
With version B.
-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
6 First press TS (AS) OFF switch (N72/1s18) once and then IMS (IRS) OFF switch (N72/1s19) according to national coding:
Rest of the world (except , , and ):
Actuate IMS (IRS) OFF switch (N72/1s18) once, then TS (AS) OFF switch (N72/1s19) once.
: Actuate IMS (IRS) OFF switch (N72/1s18) once, then TS (AS) OFF switch (N72/1s19) twice
: Actuate IMS (IRS) OFF switch (N72/1s18) once, then TS (AS) OFF switch (N72/1s19) three times
, : Actuate IMS (IRS) OFF switch (N72/1s18) once, then TS (AS) OFF switch (N72/1s19) four times
-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
7 Press TS (AS) OFF switch (N72/1s18) and IMS (IRS) OFF switch (N72/1s19) simultaneously and hold down for approx. 1 s
8 Release TS (AS) OFF switch (N72/1s18) and IMS (IRS) OFF switch (N72/1s19) and count flashing pulses of LED (1) and (2) in upper control panel control unit (N72/1)
LED (1) flashes once and then LED (2) flashes according to national code:
Once for the rest of the world (except , , and )
twice for
three times for
four times for and
then the alarm signal horn with additional battery is actuated momentarily four times
9 Turn ignition to "Zero"
10.1 Switch on ignition and actuate TS (AS) OFF switch (N72/1s18) within 5 s and hold down (on version A for 10 s, on version B for 4 s). Switch off the ignition again.
Only with national version , , if self-arming is to be switched off for service and repair work
The turn signal lamps comes on twice for confirmation
Self-arming reactivates automatically after the ignition is switched on 15 times.
