1 Remove windshield trim strip.
2 Mask off roof hem at windshield and roof duct with adhesive tape.
3 Cover the entire vehicle with masking paper.

In order to produce a smooth transition to the existing paintwork at the rear window roof hem, mask off as follows:
4 Mask off roof hem with adhesive tape (allow to protrude by approx. 20 mm).
5 Turn back protruding adhesive tape and stick to masking paper.
After completing the painting work (before drying), remove the turned-back adhesive tape so that the wet paint can blend at the transition without forming an edge.
