Risk of fire due to ignition of R1234yf refrigerant on hot components. Risk of poisoning caused by inhaling overheated refrigerant vapors. Risk of injury to skin and eyes caused by contact with escaped R1234yf refrigerant and when working on pressurized parts. Risk of explosion due to formation of ignitable refrigerant/air mixtures

Never perform welding work on or near a closed air conditioning system. No smoking or open flames. Wear safety glasses and protective gloves. Work only in well ventilated rooms. Carry out repair work on the air conditioning system circuit only after the system has been evacuated.

Remove radiator grille

Remove front bumper (1)

Remove brackets (2, 5)

Remove condenser blower (4)

Unscrew bolt (8)

Loosen screw/bolt of mounting clamp (6)

Release mounting clamp (6) on condenser (3), then remove refrigerant reservoir (7) together with mounting clamp (6) upwards from condenser (3)



Compressor oils (specification 362.1)

 Installation: Replace sealing rings (9) on condenser (3) and moisten with compressor oil.

Seal openings on condenser (3) using stop plugs

 Record plug

Detach mounting clamp (6) from fluid reservoir (7)

 Note installation position of mounting clamp (6) at fluid reservoir (7).

 Installation: The refrigerant reservoir (7) has to be replaced.

Install in the reverse order
