Remove/install glass sliding roof

Remove

1

Move roller sun blind to rear-most position (open)

 See Operating Instructions

Open glass sliding roof (1) until rear bolts (3) on left and right on glass sliding roof (1) are accessible

 See Operating Instructions

Unscrew bolts (3) on left and right from glass sliding roof (1)

 Proceed carefully in area of headliner (2) to prevent damage or soiling

Open glass sliding roof (1) until center bolt (4) and front left and right bolts (5) on glass sliding roof (1) are accessible

 See Operating Instructions

Unscrew center bolt (4) and front left and right bolts (5) on glass sliding roof (1)

 Proceed carefully in area of headliner (2) to prevent damage or soiling

Remove glass sliding roof (1) upward

 Helper required



Install

Carefully install glass sliding roof (1) on mounts of roof paneling (6)

 Helper required

Loosely screw in center bolts (4) and front left and right bolts on glass sliding roof (1)

 Proceed carefully in area of headliner (2) to prevent damage or soiling

Close glass sliding roof (1) until threads for left and right rear bolts (3) on glass sliding roof (1) are accessible

Loosely screw in rear left and right bolts (3) on glass sliding roof (1)

 Proceed carefully in area of headliner (2) to prevent damage or soiling

Close glass sliding roof (1)

Center glass sliding roof (1) between front seal (8) and rear seal (7)

 Helper required

Feeler gauge

Measure height of glass sliding roof (1) in relation to edges of roof paneling (6) at outer edges with suitable tool

 The glass sliding roof (1) should be 1 mm deeper at front and 1 mm higher at rear than the corresponding edge of the roof paneling (6)

Move glass sliding roof (1) at one corner to the correct position and tighten associated rear bolt (3) or center bolt (4)

 Proceed carefully in area of headliner (2) to prevent damage or soiling

 Helper required

The front bolts (5) are not accessible



Repeat step 14 until all corners of the glass sliding roof (1) are adjusted

Open glass sliding roof (1) until front bolts (5) on left and right on glass sliding roof (1) are accessible

Unscrew front left and right bolts (5) from glass sliding roof (1)

 Proceed carefully in area of headliner (2) to prevent damage or soiling



Check for proper function, if necessary synchronize
