5 | Disconnect electrical connector from right rear door CL actuator (M14/12) | ||
6 | Disconnect intermediate connector from right rear door rotary tumbler switch (X49/9) and left rear door rotary tumbler switch (X49/10) | Installation: Fasten line for intermediate connector from right rear door rotary tumbler switch (X49/9) and left rear door rotary tumbler switch (X49/10) to rear door with adhesive tape | |
7.1 | Disconnect electrical connector from left heated rear window (R1/1) and right heated rear window (R1/2) | Perform only with window in liftgate/hinged rear door with wipe/washer system, code W78 | |
8 | Disconnect electrical connector from left license plate lamp (E19/1) and right license plate lamp (E19/2) | ||
9 | Remove cable tie mounts (2) | Use a suitable tool. | |
Installation: Replace cable tie mounts (2). | |||
10 | Remove wiring harness (3) | Pull grommets (4) out of door frame. | |
11 | Remove all cable ties connecting the wiring harness (3) with the rear-end door | Installation: Install new cable ties. | |
12 | Unhook door holder (arrow) | ||
13 | Remove bolts from door hinge (5) | Mark installation position of door hinges (6). Secure rear-end door against falling down. | |
Installation: Paint screw heads. | |||
14 | Remove bolts from door hinge (7) | Installation: Paint screw heads. | |
15 | Remove rear door | If necessary, seek help from an assistant | |
16 | Install in the reverse order | Installation: Tighten bolts on door hinge (5) and bolts on door hinge (7) only when adjusting rear door with torque | |
