Remove/install sealing rail on rear door

Removal/installation

Remove door lining from left or right rear door

Press trim strip (2) out of retaining clips (3) with mounting wedge

 Press trim strip (2) out of retaining clips (3), otherwise trim strip (2) can be deformed or paint on rear door can be damaged.



 Installation: Ensure that trim strip (2) is seated correctly in retaining clips (3)

Unclip retaining rail (4) with expanding clips (5) and loosen shaped corner (arrow) from sealing rail (1)



 Installation: Moisten shaped corner (arrow) for sealing rail (1) on contact surfaces to rear door with lubricant.

Ensure that shaped corner (arrow) of sealing rail (1) is installed and seated correctly on rear door

Press outside of sealing rail (1) out of retaining clips (3) from rear toward front with mounting wedge

 Carefully press outside of sealing rail (1) out of retaining clips (3), otherwise the outside of sealing rail (1) can be deformed or the paint on the rear door can be damaged.



 Installation: Ensure that the outside of sealing rail (1) is seated and installed correctly in retaining clips (3).

Loosen inside of sealing rail (1) from rear door from rear toward front with mounting wedge and completely remove sealing rail (1).

 Carefully loosen inside of sealing rail (1) from rear door, otherwise the inside of sealing rail (1) can be deformed or the paint on the rear door can be damaged.



 Installation: Moisten inside of sealing rail (1) on contact surfaces to rear door with lubricant.

Ensure that the inside of the sealing rail (1) is seated correctly on the rear door.
