Remove

Push suitable disassembly clips into side openings of digital tachograph control unit (DTCO) (A56) as far as the stop and lock in place

Pull digital tachograph control unit (DTCO) (A56) out of installation frame using disassembly clips


When removing the buffer battery (6), the vehicle-side power supply must always remain connected to the digital tachograph (DTCO) control unit (A56).
Otherwise the digital tachograph (DTCO) control unit (A56) can no longer be operated.

Detach disassembly clips

Remove lead seal (3) and swing open cover (5) of battery compartment (4)

Remove backup battery (6) from battery compartment (4) and detach electrical connection (7)

Install

Connect electrical connector (7)

Insert backup battery (6) into battery compartment (4)

Close cover (5) of battery compartment (4)

Fit new lead seal (3)

Push digital tachograph (DTCO) control unit (A56) into installation frame and lock in place
