Remove/install

Switch off ignition and remove transmitter key

Remove retaining clips (7) and remove cover (8)

Installation: Check retaining clips (7) for damage.

For damage

Replace respective retaining clip (7)

Open quick-release coupling (3), remove catch hook (arrows A) and remove fitting (2)

Push radiator trim (1) slightly to the front, unlock locks (arrows B) and remove cover (4)

Pull DISTRONIC (DTR) control unit (A89) out of the holder

The DISTRONIC (DTR) control unit (A89) is enraged with three ball studs (5) in holder.

Unlock and detach electrical connection (6) on DISTRONIC (DTR) control unit (A89)

7

Install in the reverse order

8

Perform adjustment of the DISTRONIC (DTR) control unit (A89) with diagnostic system
