Align transfer case relative to transmission

Remove connector cover on right side

Disconnect hydraulic pump connector (1) and

central plug connector (2)

Expose cables.

Remove speedometer sensor (4)

With code J19

 Installation: Check O-ring (5) and replace if necessary, and attach lead seal to speedometer sensor.



Unscrew bolts (6) on underside of transmission



Place hydraulic transmission jack under transmission (9) and raise slightly

 Secure transmission with strap.

Unscrew starter

 Tie back bracket (7) to one side.

Unscrew ground strap (8) from transmission

Tie back ground strap to one side.

Remove rear engine crossmember

Unscrew remaining bolts (6)



Pull transmission towards the rear and lower

 Installation: Ensure that the centering pin is correctly seated.

Install starter and allow to mesh in the splines on the flywheel.

Install in the reverse order

Initialize gears

 With STAR DIAGNOSIS
