Check front passenger seat seat belt buckle

Distance (a) of front passenger seat seat belt buckle to center console at least

40 mm.

Distance of seat belt buckle to center console less than 40 mm, proceed with operation step 2. Distance of seat belt buckle to center console the same as or greater 40 mm, end measure.

Remove/install

Protect center console, front passenger seat and seat belt buckle against damage

Cover with rags.

Create a distance (a) of front passenger seat seat belt buckle to center console

Bend seat belt buckle 90° towards front passenger seat and press in this position towards the center console.

Once distance (a) is created, the front passenger seat seat belt buckle is trapped between this and the front passenger seat cushion when the backrest is folded down so can no longer abut the center console.
