Please advise the customer of this situation.

Electronic devices that you take into the vehicle with you can severely disrupt the TV reception. The TV tuner (3) allows for the reception of digital stations using the DVB-T and DVB-T2 standard.

If the reception gets progressively worse, the TV tuner (3) automatically switches to alternative channels of digital broadcasting with better reception and the same program contents.

During a journey, reception conditions can change continuously and this can disrupt the reception. The multimedia system can mute the audio and freeze or hide the picture during poor reception conditions. An image of a radio tower with a line through it then appears in the display.

The TV tuner (3) allows for the reception of digital stations using these standards:

DVB-T

DVB-T2

In some countries, the standards are not available or are not universally available.

A CA module, which is not included within the scope of supply, serves to decrypt HD programs using the CI+ standard. In some countries, a smart card, which is inserted into the CA module (see manufacturer's operator's manual), is also required.

There is a risk of damage to the CA module and smart card if the vehicle interior experiences extended high temperatures.
The smart card and CA module are designed for home use and can overheat and become damaged in mobile operation during lasting high temperatures in the vehicle interior. The CA module and the smart card can only be operated in a temperature range from 0 to 50 °C. Outside this temperature range, the CA module card reader switches off automatically. Please advise the customer of this situation.

Make sure that the CA module is not exposed to persistent high heat. If the CA module is damaged, encoded stations cannot be received.

The procedure for inserting a CA module into the slot on the CA card holder (4) is described below:

If CA module is correctly inserted into CA card holder (4), encrypted HD programs can be received using the CI+ standard.

If the CA module is unsuitable or an additional smart card (country-dependent) is required, a fault message appears.
