Change routing of passenger compartment dome lamp electrical line at front headliner

Remove all foam elements, e.g. (2, 3).

 More foam elements than those shown may be present. Only the foam elements (1, 4) remain attached to the headliner.

Mark the length of the line ends projecting from the A-pillar and of the electrical line (5) of the passenger compartment dome lamp.

 Marking ensures that the original length of the line ends to the headliner is maintained after the routing of lines has been changed.

Remove adhesive strips from junction (6) and from electrical line (5) of passenger compartment dome lamp.

Measure and mark dimension (a) from hole (7) to center of headliner.

Modify routing of junction (6) and electrical line (5) of passenger compartment dome lamp as shown according to markings and cable run.

 On vehicles with CODE FG3 (Passenger compartment overhead shelf with 3 compartments), make sure that the electrical line (5) of the passenger compartment dome lamp is not routed via the cutouts of the overhead shelf in the headliner.
