Check, whether the vehicle is affected by the measure.

Mask off measuring range and mark measuring points (arrow).

Determine distance between side window on left and right front door.

 The side windows must be closed.

 Use corresponding tool to determine specified dimension for measuring points: 1.5 mm (+0.3 mm/-0.5 mm).

 The findings report of the check procedure must be recorded in written form on the workshop order and then be filed in a tamperproof manner.

If the distances do not correspond to the specified dimension.



Continue with operation step 4.

If the distances correspond to the specified dimension,



continue with operation step 5.

 

Remove/install

Remove side window on front door.

Only when positioning the shim (3).



Remove door module from front door.



Check window guide seal at front at attachment points for green adhesive residue.

 To do so, pull out window guide rubber.

 Remove any adhesive residue using suitable cleaning agent.

Attach shims (1, 2, 3) with instant adhesive.

Perform operation step only if the distance does not match the specified dimension.

Adjust side window of left and right front door.



Check window run channel of side window.

 The side window must not tilt and it must open and close smoothly.

Check power window motor power consumption using current clamp.

 The power consumption may not exceed 9 A.
If the maximum power consumption is exceeded the setting must be repeated.
