2 | Check horn contact | Operate the horn alternately on the airbag unit alternately on the top and bottom outer left and right. The horn must trigger when operated on both sides and the force must be comparable on both sides. | |

Horn does not trigger correctly, proceed with operation step 3. Horn triggers correctly, finish measure. | |||

3 | Switch off ignition | ||
4 | Remove airbag unit from steering wheel | ||
Remove airbag unit from steering wheel until the steering wheel base plate is acceptable. Do not separate the electrical connectors. | |||
5 | Attach felt (1) | The felt can be used for five vehicles. | |
6 | Rework horn contact | Stick shim (2) with adhesive on both sides. This operation item is to be applied at a corresponding frequency. | |
7 | Install airbag on steering wheel | ||
8 | Check horn contact | Repeat scope of testing. If the complaint persists,an additional shim (2) should be stuck on the side which is the subject of complaint. A maximum of two shims (2) may be installed. | |
9 | Install in the reverse order |
