Remove lower engine compartment paneling.



Place clean oil receptacle under drain screw on front axle differential.

Unscrew drain screw on front axle differential and collect front axle differential oil.

Check drained oil filling capacity.

 Findings from the scope of testing must be recorded in written form on the workshop order and then stored in a tamperproof manner.

 The measured oil filling capacity must be documented in the message text field of the guarantee and goodwill claim.

If the drained oil filling capacity is  200 ml or metal shavings are present:



continue with operation step 9.

If the drained oil filling capacity is between 200 and 250 ml and the mileage is  100 km:



Carry out operation steps 6, 7, 8, 10.

If the drained oil filling capacity is between 200 and 250 ml and the mileage is > 100 km:



continue with operation step 9.

If the drained oil filling capacity is between 250 and 400 ml and the mileage is  2000 km:



Carry out operation steps 6, 7, 8, 10.

If the drained oil filling capacity is between 250 and 400 ml and the mileage is > 2000 km:



continue with operation step 9.

If the drained oil filling capacity is  400 ml:



Carry out operation steps 6, 7, 8, 10.


